Prospect Lane is a residential road in the western part of Fareham, running between West Street and the area towards Catisfield. The road has a mix of housing from different periods, including some Victorian cottages and later twentieth-century development. Parts of Prospect Lane have a slightly elevated position, which may account for the name and which gives some properties pleasant outlooks over the surrounding area. The road is relatively quiet, carrying only local traffic. It connects to several residential side roads and provides an alternative route from the town centre towards Titchfield.
