Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve

Nature, Fareham

Titchfield Haven National Nature Reserve occupies the site where the River Meon meets the Solent at Hill Head. The reserve is managed by Hampshire County Council and provides important habitat for wading birds, wildfowl, and other wildlife. Hides overlook the lagoons and reedbeds, and the reserve attracts serious birdwatchers from across the region. A visitor centre provides information and refreshments. The external paths are free to walk; access to the reserve and hides requires a small admission charge. The reserve is particularly productive during spring and autumn migration periods.
